The performance might begin with a hum from the audience that someone from Hyponova records and feeds into a looping station called a Cosmos from SOMA Laboratories. The Cosmos will play back the recorded hum in a self-phasing, ever-evolving drone. Around this unique musical thread, Hyponova will weave a meditative soundscape never performed before and never to be repeated again.  

Hyponova’s mission is to present live “ambient journeys,” improvised meditative soundscapes that have something of the feeling of sacred ceremony. Each performance  is unique, participatory, and fully created live on electronic and acoustic instruments, with nothing pre-recorded.
